Dannikkah Kaur Josan is the founder and owner of Taco Mahal. Taco Mahal is a small family run Indian-Mexican style taqueria chain in New York City with a colorful and delicious menu. The daughter of Indian and Latin parents, Dannikkah fell in love with Indian food as a child, eating Chicken Tikka Masala in her father’s Indian restaurant and ultimately decided to fuse it with a love of Tacos.

Dannikkah is the first to admit how difficult it is to run an independent family business in New York City in 2024. With such fierce competition amongst restaurants, a successful delivery operation is crucial to surviving in the restaurant world. “If we’re slow or it’s a rainy day, we can always rely on delivery to bring food to peoples’ homes,” she says.
