Monday is the New Friday @ Brooklyn Night Market

On the last Monday of the month, from May until October, thousands of New Yorkers converge upon the Brooklyn Night Market, an open-air food festival. In just its second season, the event has already grown dramatically and captured a devoted following, with over 4,000 visitors each night and more than 50 vendors presenting their dishes from all corners of the globe.

This year, MHG events partnered with Industry City to bring back the food-lovers series, which has quickly become a hit in the Brooklyn community, offering a wide selection of curated NYC-based food and beverage vendors. Brooklyn Night Market is the perfect opportunity for locals and tourists alike to experience the city's exciting culinary culture, with restauranteurs from across the five boroughs offering something for everyone.

This year’s list of vendors include Perros Locos, Tacos El Guero, Downeast Lobstah, Nadas Colombian Rainbow Empanadas, Hangry Dog, Brooklyn Dim Sum Co., Twisted Potato, Patok by Rach, Rosie's Empanadas, and Pinche Vegana, just to name a few.

Other fan faves include Mariscos El Submarino, famous for its generously portioned ceviche-like specialties, Saundra Crews’s Sassy’s Fishcakes, Fried Lasagna Mama, Korean rice dogs from Oh K-Dog, and massive plates of jerk chicken from Taste of Jamaica.

And there’s no shortage of sweets. Diners can sample a rich cheesecake-and-cinnamon-toast-crunch creation, served in a jar at Oh Sweet Mason and mouthwatering cookies from Sofia and Grace.

While the food vendors are the main attraction at Brooklyn Night Market, there are also a variety of non-food vendors as well including Sherifa Gayle’s black N ugly’s graphic hoodies and t-shirts and Monie Fittent, offering a beautiful line of workout wear for women.

Created to celebrate the diverse food and vibrant culture of New York City, the next Brooklyn Market Night will be held on August 28, 2023, followed by two more nights this season: September 25th and October 30th. Visitors to the event can look forward to an enormous selection of cuisine from around the world, unique merchandise, live music, and fun family-friendly activities.

Just 20 minutes from Manhattan on the Brooklyn waterfront, with the Statue of Liberty as a backdrop, event-goers can take in an unobstructed view of lower Manhattan and 1 World Trade Center from the Industry City west-facing courtyard.

The Brooklyn Night Market runs from 4-10pm in Industry City, 36th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue.

Organized by MHG Food Festivals and Culinary Events, a NYC hospitality group driven by a mission to produce and promote exciting, affordable, and inclusive experiences for the New York City community, Brooklyn Night Market is the group's newest series for food-festival-lovers.

The MHG group also organizes other jam-packed monthly events, including Harlem's Uptown Night Market and the Bronx Night Market at Fordham Plaza.

The Brooklyn Night Market has been hitting its groove all summer long, combining live music and DJs with great food from vendors you won’t see everywhere. At least 70% of the vendors at the Brooklyn Night Market are minority, female, and immigrant-owned businesses.

Events like the Brooklyn Night Market are more than just food events; they celebrate cultures, cuisine, and community, curating flavorful experiences that bring joy to attendees and empower small business owners who play a vital role in the mélange of the NYC food scene.
